I
recently visited my county Department of Motor Vehicles about another matter, and
I also enquired about renewing my driver’s license. It is about to expire. I was advised to apply for an Idaho Gold Star
license, when I renew. I was told I
would need one after October 1, 2020 to be able to board an airplane or enter
a federal building.
To get a Gold Star Driver’s License, I must submit a certified copy of my birth
certificate, an original issue social security card or other official
document from social security, and two other documents that prove that I am a
resident of Idaho. Examples are recent utility
bills, an assessed valuation of my home, a recent bank statement or the like.
Women
who have taken their husbands last name must also submit a certified copy of
their marriage license. If they have had
previous marriages, they must submit copies of the marriage licenses and certificates
of the divorce or death that ended the marriages.
Now,
I am all for verifying the citizenship and residence of persons who are issued
things like driver’s licenses and passports.
I think people should be required to show proof of citizenship in order
to do things like vote, obtain employment, get benefits from government
programs, fly, and buy guns and ammunition. (Yes Virginia, as of this writing
non-citizens who are in the country legally can buy guns.)
I
am happy to comply with requirements that will make our country safer and will
ensure the integrity of our government’s programs. I am not happy about the fact that foreigners
are allowed to enter the United States of America illegally, and then are
afforded the same constitutional rights as U.S. citizens. I am very unhappy about that.
Illegal
migrants are not “U.S. persons.” The fact
they have entered the country illegally makes them criminals. Please write your elected representatives and
urge them to stop their bickering and build the wall.
For
those who may be nervous about the mark of the Beast (Revelation 13:14-18), I
can provide some comfort. The requirement
to accept the mark in order to be able to buy, sell, and avoid being beheaded
comes during the Great Tribulation (Matthew 24), and it is accompanied by a
requirement to worship the Beast (Antichrist) and his image (Revelation
13:11-17).
There
are those who believe that the church (all saved, born again Christians) will
go through the Great Tribulation. Along
with a long line of distinguished theologians, I do not hold to that view. I believe that the church will be raptured (2Thessalonians
4:13-18) just before the Great Tribulation begins. Consequently, the way to avoid it (persecution during the Tribulation) is to
accept Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord now, and to follow in His steps.
Are
things like the Gold Star License, the Patriot Act, and the government’s
surveillance of our citizens a portent of terrible things to come? Of course, they are. Friend, everybody and his brother has a data
base on you, and these things will make it possible for the Antichrist to
require his mark on all people; and to oblige them to venerate him. I believe the times are rapidly drawing to a
close. Get right with Jesus Christ,
today.
