Praise Report

Yesterday evening God showered my wife and I with a special spiritual blessing.  Praise to our God and Father, maker of heaven and earth, and to our Savior, Jesus Christ.

We were both were watching upsetting news reports on television, and we switched to a VHS tape* by Bill and Gloria Gather called “Going Home.”  Sometimes a music ministry can speak to your heart in a special way.  Feelings can be elicited that are not always brought out by reading or the spoken word.

The songs and testimony on the Gaither tape left us with tears in our eyes and a powerful sense of God’s love for us.  They reminded us of the enormity of what Jesus Christ has done for us by saving us, and of the wonders that await us in heaven.

We sometimes lose our way.  We have wandered in the wilderness of this world, blind and forgetful of what awaits us when we go to be with Him in His kingdom.  We couldn’t find our way home, and we refused to enter in when we caught sight of it.

Jesus sought us out.  He brought us back to the safety of his loving arms.  He refused to let is fall from the palm of His hand.  Praise Jesus.  Thankyou Lord.

Now, we are looking forward to spending eternity in the glory of His presence.  Even now, we have a foretaste of how wonderful that will be when we allow ourselves to be led by His Spirit in worship and in prayer … when we stay focused on the goal and not on the troubles of this life.

Glory, honor and praise be to you oh Lord.  You alone are worthy to be praised.

God will shower His love, joy, and peace on us if we will just yield to Him and trust in His goodness.  Please relinquish control of your life to Him, take up your cross and follow Him today.
